PR for Products & Services
Are you a dynamic entrepreneur or SME with a trailblazing product or service, but no one seems to know about it – even though you’ve invested a hefty amount in marketing and social media?
Perhaps you’ve already tried pitching your story to the media, but you haven’t had any response - or not the response you were hoping for.
Sounds like you?
You need Strategic PR.
Strategic PR will skyrocket your brand into the public eye.
Strategic PR gets you editorial media coverage across newspapers, magazines, digital media, TV, radio and podcasts.
The right media coverage for your product or service will give you a significant spike in sales and inquiries, especially if it’s a highly reputable outlet like a major newspaper, magazine or TV show.
And when you get multiple articles across multiple outlets, the effect is exponential – potentially yielding you thousands or even millions of dollars of additional revenue for your business.
Strategic PR will also -
Boost your SEO
Give you content to share with your mailing list and social media followers
Raise your public profile
Get you recognised as a leader in your field.
And unlike advertising, you don’t need to pay the media to feature you in editorial articles.
Ready to get the public recognition you deserve?
Some businesses have “easy” stories to tell – but they’re the lucky ones.
If your brand story is a “hard sell”, it will take a lot of work to grab the media’s attention.
That’s where I come in.
I’ll get you into the headlines.
Before becoming a PR Professional, I was a senior adviser to the Victorian Government on business regulation, and before that I was a civil litigation lawyer. I was also the sole owner of a successful SME (an Italian restaurant in the Melbourne CBD) for 5 years.
I have exceptional skills in deep-dive analysis, research, data analysis, creative writing, relationship building – as well as resilience and dogged determination.
I’ll find a new way to “spin” your story to make it newsworthy. Often, I’ll find an entirely new story that you didn’t know was there!
And I have the contacts and industry knowledge to get the story in front of the right media outlets and journalists, the ones that can make a real difference to your brand.
Plus, I’m a sole operator – so when you hire Beyond & Above PR, you get my full personal attention.
I believe in quality not quantity, and I tailor each PR pitch to the media target. I take the time to dig deep, gathering data, quotes and case studies to craft robust media releases and pitches that make the media sit up and take notice.
When you put yourself in my hands, you can take a step back, relax and focus on what you do best, i.e. running your business – while I focus on what I do best, i.e. getting your business noticed by the media.
I’ll make sure you’re fully prepped for media interviews so you can present yourself in the best possible light. And I’ll continue to look out for you even after the end of the PR retainer.
I’m all about going beyond and above for my clients.
How do I work?
I work on a monthly retainer for a minimum period of 3 months.
Working on a monthly retainer means that I can offer you personalised service and tailored PR activities to suit the goals of your PR campaign.
It lets me focus on securing you high-quality media coverage which is current and relevant, and respond proactively to media opportunities that arise.
I recommend a minimum of 3 months because PR takes time to build momentum and gain traction. Even if you get a great “win” early on, it’s important to continue to the end of the 3 month period to ensure you consolidate the early win and achieve the full value of your PR campaign.
What’s involved in the monthly retainer?
Every PR campaign is different, but the first month of the retainer usually focuses on building the groundwork for the PR campaign, e.g. gathering information and photos, researching media angles, interviewing case studies and analysing data.
The more information you give me, the sooner I can get started on pitching your story to the media.
The second and subsequent months will focus on writing media releases and pitching story ideas to targeted media outlets and journalists.
I’ll also help you prepare for media interviews and appearances with speaking notes (and a pep talk if required!)
What’s the cost?
The cost of a monthly retainer is $3,000 plus GST per month, for a minimum of 3 months.
My fees include:
Detailed monthly report on PR activities and outcomes, including an analysis of what’s worked and what hasn’t, and a recommended strategy for the next month.
Monthly PR strategy meetings.
Regular communication with you about PR activities and outcomes.
Additional information and copywriting requested by journalists.
Fees are payable monthly in advance.
Which industries do I work with?
I get strategic PR for products and services across a broad range of industries, from retail, healthcare and fashion through to technology, food and wine.
The common thread connecting all my clients is the desire to create something special and unforgettable that solves a problem in a unique and exciting way.
My clients are ambitious, with plans to grow and scale - but they’re not driven solely by money.
There’s usually an altruistic motive behind their business, whether that’s helping other people, making someone’s life easier or creating a sustainable future.
And I choose to work with SMEs rather than “big business” because SMEs are the lifeblood of our economy, and I want to support them - plus, I’m inspired by their passion and dedication!
As the former owner of an SME (a 50-seater restaurant in the Melbourne CBD) and now the founder of my own PR agency, I understand the pressures of running a business - and how important it is to make every dollar count.
If you’re an entrepreneur or SME with an extraordinary product or service, you deserve to be recognised for your hard work and creativity, and to be publicly acknowledged as a leader in your field.
Get in touch and let’s talk about how I can make your business soar above the crowd!
